The video consists of outstanding demonstration, performed by accomplished athletes, of over 202 exercises aimed at improving strength and power. A variety of methods, all based on proven Russian and East European research, are employed; plyometrics, medicine ball, callisthenics, free weights, training machines, gymnasium apparatus, etc. Although the program is primarily intended for serious, advanced athletes many of the exercises can be adapted for novices.
The accompanied 32-page MANUAL gives a brief outline of the methodology of strength and power training including some useful suggestions for age group and novice athletes. There are also tables giving the numbers of the most useful exercises for the beginning, and advanced athletes in several team and individual sports. The experienced coach should be able to easily construct specific programs for his/her athletes from huge pool of exercises demonstrated.
